SquadUp uses the skunk metaphor because it signals boundaries, honesty, and self-respect without turning productivity into aggression.

What the Metaphor Means​

What It Does Not Mean​

The skunk is not there to turn SquadUp into a mascot-first product. The work still matters more than the metaphor.

The metaphor also does not change the product boundary: SquadUp supports productivity, reflection, and momentum. It is not healthcare, therapy, counseling, crisis response, legal advice, financial advice, or a substitute for professional services.

Why It Fits SquadUp​

Most productivity systems get louder when you struggle. SquadUp aims to get clearer and more supportive instead.

That is the real role of the skunk: remind the system to protect the user from shame-heavy productivity design.
