Skunkology Glossary

This glossary explains the main SquadUp and Skunkology terms you may see in the app or public docs. The common thread is simple: Stumble Forward. Still Counts.

Mavaro Systems Behavioral OS™

The broader product architecture language behind how SquadUp supports momentum, structure, reflection, Friction reduction, and Dip recovery without turning missed days into shame.

Calendar

The place where plans and practices are given a time and a place.

Checklists

Structured step-by-step flows for routines, methods, and repeatable sequences.

Focus Pulse

Subtle timing cues in Focus Timer that help you feel the session without constantly checking the screen.

Focus Timer

The part of SquadUp that helps you protect attention and work in a dedicated block.

Habits

The part of SquadUp built around repeated practice, consistency, and momentum over time.

Journal

A space for reflection, writing, and quieter check-ins.

Library

The part of SquadUp that holds guidance, ideas, frameworks, and supportive reading for the moments when you need help through Friction or a Dip.

Momentum

The sense of repeated follow-through building over time through small actions, restarts, and returns.

Dip Mode

A recovery-oriented support mode for low-energy periods, missed days, and messy stretches. It helps you survive the Dip without treating it as a stop.

Friction

The resistance that makes a task, habit, or decision feel harder than it looks from the outside. SquadUp treats Friction as design information, not a character flaw.

Practice

A repeatable action or rhythm you want to keep showing up for. In SquadUp, habits are often framed as practices instead of chores.

Quick Focus

A fast action that starts a focus block with minimal setup.

Quick Log

A fast action for logging a practice or marking progress in Habits.

Quick Stash

A fast capture space for thoughts, ideas, and things you want to hold onto before deciding what to do with them. It captures the stumble before it becomes lost mental noise.

Quiet Observation

A calmer, lower-pressure way of noticing what is happening without turning everything into a score or alert.

SkunkCoach

SquadUp's behavioral support system for guidance, reflection, Friction, Dip recovery, and momentum support. Its first job is to help you return without shame.

SkunkFlow™ Core

The public-facing name for the shared layer that helps SquadUp decide what matters on each surface right now, so the app feels connected instead of fragmented.

Skunkology

The broader language, philosophy, and framework family behind SquadUp’s approach to behavior, support, and momentum.

SquadUp

The app itself: a system for tasks, checklists, habits, focus, calendar, Library, Quick Stash, SkunkCoach, and reflection designed to help imperfect progress still count.

Tiny Wins

Small completed actions that prove momentum is still alive. A Tiny Win is not a consolation prize. It is evidence that the comeback started.

Tasks

Single units of work that need to be done.

Whisper

A lighter, quieter journaling mode intended to feel gentle and low-pressure.
